Management time has been reduced to virtually zero, the time I spend on IT these days is far more enjoyable and productive. If there is a problem, I only have to make one call

After a lengthy acquisition trail in 2000 to increase their system users, Meteor Group had a mixture of hardware, software and network connections providing varying levels of reliability, support and maintenance.
Without a dedicated IT specialist on hand to manage the group’s IT demands and with pressure to reduce system downtime, Meteor Group were left exposed.
The group lost access to their Dealer Management System (DMS), email and internet for nearly a week when their existing systems failed. With multiple suppliers and a lack of ownership, finding a resolution was slow.
The location of the group’s server was also a major concern. “Basically, we were running a £170m business from a computer in a stationery cupboard. The only safety measures performed were daily backup tapes which were stored off site.” Simon Miles, Company Secretary.
In order to meet the increasing demands of the group’s needs the main server required regular upgrades and additional memory. However they were experiencing issues on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis.
Cloud Hosting (HSP) manages the daily administration of business applications from its state-of-the-art, resilient hosting centre. The complete end-to-end management, support, maintenance and monitoring of the server and Autoline application allows dealerships to focus on their core business.
“Cost is based on a ‘per user’ basis, so the costing structure is very simple and can work for large and small companies alike. Cloud Hosting (HSP) is also flexible if your business experiences periods of rapid growth, like mine did, it removes the risk of having an issue with obsolete hardware and having to continually upgrade.” Simon Miles, Company Secretary
